Privacy policy
Effective August 12, 2026
This policy describes how Salt Services ("we," "us") collects and uses information through the client portal at my.saltservicesusa.com. It covers the portal specifically — our main site's privacy policy at saltservicesusa.com/privacy-policy/ covers saltservicesusa.com itself. Short version: this account holds your own website's data so we can show it back to you, we don't sell it, and we don't share your mobile number with anyone for their marketing.
Information you give us
When your account is created — by us, after you sign up for hosting — we store your name, email address, phone number, and business name. If you use the "Request a change" form, we store the message you send us.
Information about your website
Your portal account shows data about your own website: visitor and pageview counts from Vercel Web Analytics, and search performance (clicks, impressions, top queries) from Google Search Console, using a service account you've granted access to. This is aggregate, anonymized traffic data about your site, not personal information about the people who visit it, and it's shown only to you and to Salt Services staff who support your account.
Text messaging (SMS) and email terms
We send you a one-time code by text and email each time you log in, and send account notices (billing, payment reminders, service updates) the same way through Coraline, our CRM and communications platform. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.
Billing information
Hosting subscriptions are billed through Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers so we can show your billing status and invoice history, but we never see, handle, or store your card number ourselves — updating your payment method happens on a page Stripe hosts directly.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the portal — Stripe (billing), Coraline/LeadConnector (notifications), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and Google (Search Console access, via a service account) — or when the law requires it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who can see your account
Salt Services staff with an admin or team-level account can view your account status, billing state, and website data to support you — never your card details, which live with Stripe. Team-level accounts specifically cannot see billing details or take billing actions.
Cookies and security
The portal sets a single functional cookie to keep you signed in; it's not used for tracking or advertising. Your password is stored using industry-standard one-way hashing (scrypt) — we can't see it either. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Retention
We keep your account and its data for as long as you're a hosting client, and for a reasonable period after in case you return, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Children
This portal is for business account holders and is not directed to children under 13.
Your rights
You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account, by emailing fdarnell@saltservicesusa.com or calling (866) 721-7258.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we'll update it here with a new effective date. Questions: fdarnell@saltservicesusa.com, (866) 721-7258, Salt Services, Kodak, TN.
